Van Security Locks

There are a variety of security locks options available, as part of your vehicle conversion, and your choice of lock will depend on the vehicle owner and its use. The majority of van security locks we fit are deadlocks or slamlocks.

VAN SECURITY LOCKS – DEADLOCKS

We only recommend deadlocks in specific circumstances. A deadlock is a mechanical device fitted to a vehicle door. It operates by throwing a bolt into a receiver fitted to the opposing body section when operated by an external key.

As Deadlocks are under the control of the driver, they are generally only appropriate for owner-drivers or applications where the driver can be relied upon to operate the lock.

VAN SECURITY LOCKS – SLAMLOCKS

Slamlocks are recommended when your van is being used for multi-drop and delivery, making them perfect for parcel delivery firms.

A slamlock is a device that automatically locks the vehicle door immediately when it is shut, without requiring any operation by the driver.

It is primarily designed for applications such as multi-drop delivery, high value loads and applications where the owner/ operator requires control over the security of their goods.

For fleet customers Vantage can also install master suites of keys that open all vans within their fleet.
